Cory - Edith Loop

A cool, cloudy start was good for the first part of the hike, which gave us great views of autumn colors in the Bow River Valley. By the time we reached Cory Pass, it was getting sunnier and warmer. The gargoyles in the pass area were the focus of much picture taking, and the hike beneath Mt. Louis was spectacular. On the return trip along the east side of Mt. Edith we met a family of grouse, who blocked the trail until we took many pictures. A very enjoyable day.
